10 Reasons why you should start an online business…

Times have changed people. In this generation we have so many opportunities to achieve the success we all have yet to accomplish. Thanks to the power of the internet, we can literally make money(6-8 figure income)all from the comfort of our homes. Seriously– All you need is a phone or a laptop with internet connection & BOOM you’re in business baby!

So PAY ATTENTION because this will be the push you need to finally begin your journey to finanical freedom!

 

1. You can fire your boss!

Now with a show of hands… How many people right now are working a job they hate at this very moment? How many of y’all are also tired of waking up on someone else’s time, getting told what to do for 8-12 hours day and making somebody else’s dream come true while you slave away your time?

I can feel someone right now in their head screaming “Hell yeah I’m tired!”.

As a soceity we’ve been taught that if you want to make money you have to go to work. Most people work for money instead of making money work for them. I recommend everybody read this book called “Rich Dad Poor Dad” by Robert T. Kiyosaki [Click here]. I remember I read this certain part of the book when Robert worked his friend’s dad who was also the richest person in Hawaii, for about a month. The deal was him & his son(rich dad) would work in this store for exhange a few cents & knowlege on how to start making real money.

Now before you say, “What the hell does this have to do with firing your boss?” Hold on fam, we’re getting there.

Robert’s friend’s dad(Rich dad) wanted to test them to see how much their time was worth. The overall lesson was how much is your time worth? $10/hr? $20/hr? Maybe $35/hr? TRICK QUESTION, rich people never work for money and that’s one of the reasons why you should start an online business. An online business gives you that freedom of independence to not be tied under someone else’s control.

 

2. You don’t need a degree to start one.

Oh yeah I’m about to slap some truth on your head right quick! How many of y’all are reading this right now still believe that you have to have a college degree to be successful in life? Raise ya hand and raise em high. Now with that same confidence, put that hand right back down, in fact slap your kneck with it while you’re at it!

let me give you some insight real quick…

• According to The Washington Post, as of right now america has 1.53 trillion dollars in student loan debt alone[Click here]. That’s over half of america’s debt(3 trillion and counting) that we are already in!
• In 2017 the average student that graduated college left with over $37,000 worth of debit[Click here]. Man you can buy a brand new sports car with that money!
• It takes 4 years to get a college degree.
• You’re not garenteed a job off the back.
• College degrees expire.

Starting an online business requires no degree, little to no experience, and the best part… You ready for this?… It cost about a fraction of what your average tuition would cost. This is literally a “ANYBODY CAN JOIN” opportunity.

3. Passive/Residual income.

Now before i dive into this reason, lets first go over what active, passive & residual income means. Active income is what 90% of y’all are doing right now. You have to be at the job in order to make money. If you are not phyically there, you don’t get paid. Passive income is when you create or invest in something(business, stocks, etc..) you put in the work upfront & you still get payed regardless if you are not on it all the time.

That means you get payed when you’re:

• Sleep
• Out with friends
• Traveling
• Out on a date
• Whatever else you can think of, you get the point!

 

Residual income is pretty much the same thing as passive EXCEPT, you put in all the work upfront & money generates even when you don’t work on it ever. It’s like a “Start it & forget it” type of income. Starting an online business takes away from having to slave away in your 9-5s and actually have a chance to enjoy your life while focusing on other things.  Don’t get me wrong– You still gotta put in some work, but would you rather work 8-14 hours a day for someone else or 1-3 hours for yourself? Exactly!

 

4. Teaches you marketing!

One thing I wished schools would had taught me and everybody else reading this, is how to market! Marketing is a skill(in my humble opinion) that everybody should learn in their lifetime. Think about it, we live in a world of consumerism. People will always buy things no matter how many times their wallet tells them not to!

No matter if you’re doing Shopify, Amazon FBA, Affliate marketing, etc… marketing is what makes this world go round. As long as there is a demand for a product, you as a supplier know how to market said product, you’re good to go! You could literally lose all of your money, but since you have the skill of marketing– any business will hire you or you can build your own and build your empire.

If you don’t know how to market it’s okay. You can learn off of youtube, read books, find a mentor in your area, etc… they’re many ways to seek this information… except school of course.

 

5. Your business is transportable.

One thing about livin’ that laptop lifestyle is that you’re not tied down to one spot. Anywhere and everywhere you go will be your office. This reason is listed especially for my people who love to travel the world and see all types of beautiful areas. Prime example, imagine waking up to nonifications of sales blowing up your phone. You eat breakfast, you grab your laptop and walk towards the ocean front to catch the sun rise. That right there is your office.

Unlike working in a cubical for 8 hours confined between a mini 4 wallset with an outdated(or dated it really doesn’t matter to be honest) computer day dreaming on how life could be like if you would take that chance and start your business!

 

6. You aren’t tied to one specifc income.

This especially important because in order to grow your wealth, you need to be able to manage at least 3 streams of income. The average millionaire manages 7 streams of income, but baby steps people! Crawl before you walk.

Starting an business online can provide you that opportunity of increasing your incomes. Here’s how that works. You build your first business, doesn’t matter if it’s Ecom or Affliate marketing. Once your business has grown to a great amount of volume, you can now afford to outsource. Build it, grow it & pay somebody to run it.

The more you do this, over the time of months(or years) you will see your income soar in the sky & your bank accounts will be fat. Extremely fat. Unlike working at 1 job for 40 years making somebody else richer.

 

7. Insures financial safety!

Now what’s the biggest thing we are told by society? “Go to school”. “Get a good job”. “Get good benefits” and all this other whoopity scoop. Let me ask you something, do you think that’s the safe route?  Actually it’s the complete opposite. Let me elaborate…

You go to a university for 4-8 years(depending on the level of degree). Putting your self in a good amount of debt. You hope to get a great job so you can pay off the amout of debt you’ve put your self in. So you work at that 9-5 for about a few years(give or take 10-40) to be able to maintain the bills, pay some debt off, support your family, then live frugally with the amount of money you have left over. Now this is where life hits.

You just got fired. The business went under and now the head boss has to cut employees and unfortunately you’ve made the cut.

This might not be your story(yet), but ask your self this real quick. Is that the true “safe” route? Sounds like a damn trap if you ask me. It won’t matter how good the benefits are if you no longer work at the job. With owning multiple online businesses you are able to make sure you can not only keep the bills paid, food in the house, debt payed off, but you can enjoy life knowing you have a 5-8 figure income safety net below you in case of any life’s situations.

 

8. The internet is the next big thing!!

It’s 2018 people! If you aren’t with the times of the internet age, you are falling behind and fast. Businesses like Toys-r-us, Jc-penny, Sears & many more according to Usatoday.com[Click here] are going out of business or on the verge of going out all because of the internet. Ecommerce, to be specifc. People are shopping more online than actually going to the store to buy the exact same product! With Ecom growing rapidly, more businesses that aren’t tech savy are waving the white flag as they call it quits.

Imagine waking up in the morning. You wake up with a huge smile on your face thanking God you don’t have to drive to work and deal with morning traffic. You take a walk/run for a little. You come back and make your favorite breakfast meal. You check on your business and everything is running smoothly either on autopilot or through virtual assisants. After your hour of work is done you go & do the things you love to do & the best part is… You feel free!

I don’t know about you and I damn sure can’t speak for everybody, but waking up knowing you are good and you can tackle the day any way you’d like is a major victory in my book. An online business can provide you that sense of freedom a lot of people are yerning for.

Think about it, it’s online. Anywhere you go, your business goes. It’s like your taking paycations(you see what i did there? if you don’t you just lack humor. Humorless ass.) instead of vactions, because you’re always getting payed. Go explore the world, improve your craft, pick up new hobbies, there world is literally yours.

 

10. Just do it…

That’s right I said it– Just freaking do it! Life is too short to be working for somebody else for the rest of your life. Yes, you will have nay-sayers. Yes, if you’re just starting out it will be a little bit difficult. Yes, you will have to sacrifice time that you’ll spend on other things to focus on getting your business together and YES, it will definitely take time. Nothing is ever overnight, but it’ll be worth it when you can travel to as many places as you want. Buy those cars you want or house. While your friends and family who took society’s “safe” way look at you in pure envy because you took a risk that they couldn’t take. No matter your situtation, just go for it.

Amazon FBA allows you to create a seller account in any country you want(USA, Canada, UK are highly recommended) and find hot products to sell on their platform. They’re 300million active users on amazon a day so traffic and marketing is already there, your job is to find that winning product. I recommend doing research before starting, but in a nut shell you just contact a supplier(alibaba is recommened). Have them ship the product to an Amazon fulfillment center and they will send the products to the customers while you take in profits. Get started now![Click here]

Shopify: Hard(Depends on your experience with marketing):

Now shopify is a great way to start an Ecom store and longterm build your brand. Some of the biggest celebs & brands(Kylie Cosmetics, Fashion Nova, etc) are all on shopify and killing it as we speak. Shopify can be used for many different things such as:

• Dropshipping
• Print on Demand(shirts)
• Branding

The list goes on. The only thing with shopify is that you’re incharge of marketing(facebook ads and instagram influencers). Finding the winning products which involves a lot of testing. Contacting reliable suppliers and making sure they’re not screwing you over. I can go all day on this, but shopify as proven to be great when it comes to handling orders, payouts, customer service, the whole 9 yards.
